Mantis Shrimp

CHALLENGE ACCEPTED!
When a client suggests a sea creature you KNOW I've got to give it a go.
This is my very first Mantis Shrimp and all I can say is DAAAANG does nature know how to do color.
Google "mantis shrimp". . .or don't because my batik will pale in comparison to the real life creature ;)

This is an original batik created through a wax resist and hand painted cold water dye process on 100% unbleached cotton & stretched over a solid wood frame (thankfully made by my oh so talented husband).

This beauty measures in at 19" x 19" and can be easily hung from a heavy duty wire that is installed in the solid wood frame.
