My precious little Porpita. . .
Now I have to be honest and say this is NOT an accurate representation of a Porpita Porpita (which is actually NOT a jellyfish but a Chondrophore) but ARTISTIC LICENSE PREVAILS!
I see the under sea world this way. . .bright and vibrant. . . though I know, so often, it's dark and unclear.
We get to choose, you know, to SEE that clarity if we want and not get caught up with the darkness.
Both light and dark have their place in this world & I choose to shine light every chance I get. . . even if it is just through a batik.
This is an original batik created through a wax resist and hand painted cold water dye process on 100% unbleached cotton & stretched over a solid wood frame (thankfully made by my oh so talented husband).
This beauty measures in at 44″ x 28″ & can be easily hung from a heavy duty wire that is installed in the solid wood frame.
